OK, don't make fun of me. Please?
But today I was hanging out with a friend and somehow we ended up listening to an album of television's greatest theme songs of all time.
And it made me feel really sad. Why doesn't any television shows have any original theme songs anymore? And if they do, it's barely even a minute long and doesn't have much of an opening sequence. I miss the good old days when theme songs were just as much a part of the show as anything else.
My favorite theme song of all time would have to be "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air."
What's yours?

Mine would HAVE to be Cheers!
*sings* "Sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your name..."
Ooooh good one!
"What would you do, if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out me?"
... I'm also liking the Big Bang theory theme song, but that is way more recent than the quote above...
Oh man that's a great one!!! The Wonder Years!
Beverly Hill Billy's and Night Court. Classics!
Camp Anawana, for sure!
I miss old Nickelodeon...
Well since you took my favorite, Fresh Prince, I'll have to go with:
"And you knew where you were then! Girls were girls and men were men...Those were the days."
All in the Family-in no way does it describe me, but I just loved how they'd sing so off key. "Ohhh Archie!"
Plus the way Family Guy has redone the song, absolute comic brilliance.
Haha oh my god, that's a great one!
I also love Laverne and Shirley!
"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Sclemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated. We're gonna do it!"
