What do you do when...

Fast asleep, suddenly, the phone rings..

Me: Hello?
My friend: Jiiiiny?
Me: I'm sleeping. What do you want?
My friend: Can I come over?
Me: Yea, sure. Whatever.
My friend: Really? I'll be over in 20 minutes.
Me: K, bye.

Eyes closed, I hang up the phone.. Cut to - 20 minutes later..

Mom screams down the basement stairs at me.. "Jenny, some guy is at the door to see you!"

Seriously. Seriously? Besides being fast asleep, which I thought was clearly obvious when I answered the phone, I was only kidding when I told him to come over. Well, I guess I'm not surprised. Great. Now what the hell am I going to do? - I thought to myself, as he ran downstairs and jumped on my bed like a little boy at Christmas time.

This is one of my best friends. The one who is absolutely out of his mind. The one who is infamous for going to his friends houses at 8am on the weekends to wake them up when they're hung over, just because he thinks it's funny. Yeah, that one. Sometimes we let him in, sometimes we yell at him, and sometimes we just ignore him.

Don't you hate it when that one annoying friend is always asking you to do things, and you just always have to be prepared to make up some excuse that you have other plans.

"Hey, want to go get a drink?"
"Oh, uh, sorry, I have to get surgery today. I can't go. Maybe next time..."
"You are? Well, I'll come to the hospital with you. You shouldn't be alone!"

Dammit!

So, when that annoying friend just shows up at your place, unexpectedly, and you're actually home doing absolutely nothing, you don't really have much of a choice, do you?

Oh, New York. I've missed you and your crazy inhabitants.

Lol. At least you're loved. Or they wouldn't put forth the effort...

Aww, I miss that. In college I always had friends who did that, and I'd complain but secretly love it.
