Rebel Without a Tweet

Am I the only one who still hates Twitter?

I just don't understand why everybody needs to know what you are doing all the time. If I really want to know what you are doing, I'll either call/ text/ Facebook/ email/ or just show up at your front door.

I'm with you.
Screw that. I don't care nor do I have enough time to keep up with it.
I do like to make fun of it with my facebook statuses often.

I actually like it. I've met a lot of people on there that share same interests (geocaching). I've actually met someone from twitter and went on a road trip with her. Never met anyone from the internet before that! haha.

As long as you can stay away from the spam people on twitter - it can be okay.... I get a lot of blog traffic from twitter too!

I don't understand Twitter at all, of course I am a little computer illiterate....I hate to admit that. I had a MySpace account for awhile, but since I started on Facebook everything else is moot. I loooove Facebook. I have caught up with old friends that I lost track of and don't go a day without getting online. I can go days on end with no television or radio, but don't let my internet go down.....But, I digress, sorry, I also do not like Twitter.

I hate twitter (even though I have an account). I don't understand why people need to know your thoughts every single second of the day - however, I do think it COULD be a resourceful tool in networking for things.

AMEN TO THAT!!!! Even though I use twitter, everyday it reminds me how annoying it is when people tweet EVERY 5 MINS!!. I usually go there and read the tweets that actually have any significant meaning to me, like interesting blog spots, or any value info.

Seriously, don't hate it until you've tried it. I was anti-Twitter for months. Until I got one and learned how fun it was to share tid bit of information to my favorite people through the day and not have to log onto blogger and create an entire entry. Please tweeting from the phone is so easy and fun! It's not all about the telling where you're at all the time, more about micro-blogging. Try it - you might be surprised :)

Haha yeah that's true! I actually do it SOMETIMES. But I still just don't care for it. I write the same updates/ micro-blogs on Facebook. I just don't see the point of having the same thing in more then one place!

twitter is okay sometimes but then you have those people who tweet like crazy all day saying pointless and uneccessary things like 'so and so is having a shower', 'so and so is cooking dinner'...who wants to read that???

It's not really for that. Some people use it as funny anecdotes.

Check out www.favrd.com to see some pretty funny tweets.

As far as I'm concerned, if people are using it to tell others what they are eating or doing, then they're doing it wrong.

I have been trying to get into Twitter for a while now. I just don't get it though. I feel like I am missing something. Like, perhaps I don't understand how to use it? It just doesn't seem like fun. But, like coffee, sushi, and alcohol I am going to keep trying it until I love it.

Ahh, because all the cool kids (like David) are doing it and you want to be one of the cool kids, don't you? Duh!

You know...you don't have to Tweet every 5 minutes about what you’re doing. And you don’t have to Tweet about what color panties you are wearing or anything else you find too private to share with the general public.

Twitter is basically micro-blogging, like blogging for writers and readers with A.D.D.

Just embrace it so I don't have to hurt you.

By the way, if you want me to know what color panties you are wearing, you may show up at my front door. Thanks in advance.

(My word verification on this post was "imeat" - just thought you should know.)

Ugh, whatever, still hate Twitter!! If people want to micro-blog, why not go on Tumblr?
